When I was in elementary, I hated the school, asked my mom to put me in a private school. I couldn't do the whole church thing and religion class every morning. I soon asked to be taken out, didn't think much of it for a long time. When I was younger, I think I was more into the darker side of things. I've grown up and changed, for the best I hope.
I agree, be careful what you wish for! It will come back one way or the other.

At this point, I wouldn't know how to label myself. Coming from a Greek and Indian background, (Native American) I've always been all over the place. Lately, I've been getting into Hoodoo.

Take your time with rituals and spells, especially if you're not comfortable. Personally, I love doing them! I believe in studying and practicing everyday. Even if it's just lighting a candle. Go at your own pace. What works for others, isn't necessarily going to work for you.
Speaking of Gaia, Imbolc is coming up. I know most people associate this day with Brigid, but for me it's Gaia. I say follow what feels right in your heart. :)Blessings!

Re: A Question About Your Magical Path…

We were brought christian, being taught that magic existed. Mom used ' old wives tales' :-). As I grew older, I had questions about threligion I was being taught and knew there was more. Bu the time I was grown I believed in the Goddess. I am more info the spiritual nature of things. Except for candles and wishes ( i learned a long time ago to be careful what I Wish for) I've only recently started studying rituals and spells. I am a solitaire and do consider myself eclectic since I learn from all paths. My journey info ritual work and spells is rather new, although Gaia has been in my heart since I was young.

Re: Medicinal Monday – Lavender Oil

Lavender is an example of nature's miracle. This plant, mostly known for it's use in cosmetics, has other properties that can be of use. Lavender oil has, as mentioned here, has a lot of uses that are beneficial for people. Still, there may be other, unexploited features of this plant that are yet to be discovered by scientists. Most surely they will be very surprising, but only time will tell when they'll be discovered.

Re: Wassail Recipe

That may have been where I got it.
